StevenDouglas is exclusively working with a highly successful property management firm that is actively seeking a Controller for their growing organization! Reporting directly to the President/Owner, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting/finance functions for the firm that has a portfolio of both residential & commercial properties. The Controller will oversee the preparation and distribution of financial statements for the organization, and lead the month-end close process. The Controller will also lead the entire budgeting/forecasting process for all properties and oversee a strong performing accounting team. In addition, the Controller will help with an ERP implementation scheduled for next year.

Responsibilities of the role include:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for all properties.
- Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with property managers to provide financial support and analysis.
- Manage and mentor the property accounting team. Assign tasks, set goals, and evaluate performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 8 years of Property Accounting Experience
- Prior experience managing and developing a team
- Experience with Skyline preferred
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
