Job Overview:
Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies. This role will support the finance team in the preparation of timely, accurate, and complete financial reports, as well as assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS (as applicable).
- Assist with the preparation of internal management reports and external financial reports.
- Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial closing processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and audits, working with external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update accounting records, including journal entries and adjustments.
- Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities, offering financial insights for decision-making.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and filings.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP preferred).
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
