StevenDouglas is partnered with a high-growth hospitality organization to fill the role of Senior Accountant - Project & Construction. This role will work closely with the project team and corporate finance team to support the development of this rapidly expanding company!
Responsibilities
- Oversee project accounting operations, including job cost tracking, budget variance analysis, and financial reporting for multiple active projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy in project setup, cost coding, and billing.
- Prepare and review monthly Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, ensuring proper revenue recognition under percentage-of-completion or cost-to-cost methods.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and monitor compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Support audits (internal, external, and regulatory) by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring documentation accuracy.
Qualifications
- 3 years' of construction/project accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
