Senior Test Engineering Manager

Summary:
We are hiring a hands-on Senior Test Engineering Manager to lead post-assembly testing operations at our client’s Advanced Compute site.
This role is critical to ensuring on-time customer delivery by managing diagnostics, debug, and rework functions for AI/ML, GPGPU, and hardware accelerator-based server, networking, and storage platforms.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, thrives in a high-mix, fast-paced manufacturing environment, and excels in a customer-facing role with daily visibility.
Responsibilities:
- Own all post-assembly testing operations, including diagnostics, debug, and rework
- Manage and develop the test engineering team across multiple production shifts
- Act as the primary point of contact for the on-site customer
- Escalate issues quickly, challenge process gaps, and communicate clearly across teams
- Drive urgency and accountability to eliminate testing bottlenecks
- Provide accurate cost quotations for customer models
- Maintain and improve test equipment performance
- Analyze performance data to enhance process efficiency
- Review and optimize department structure and resource planning
- Implement and sustain Work Cell and ISO/QS systems
- Coach, train, and evaluate staff performance with a focus on workload distribution
- Hire and manage personnel to support production ramps and new business initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or 10 years of relevant experience)
- 8 years of experience, including 5 years in a leadership role
- Recent and relevant leadership experience required
- Proven success managing teams in a high-mix, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience in enterprise server, storage, or networking hardware testing
- Strong understanding of server hardware architecture and system integration
- Skilled in test, debug, and failure analysis with the ability to act on failure prompts
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines with shifting priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving
- Proficient with standard PC tools and software platforms
- Able to interpret technical instructions and present to varied audiences
