Stevens Cooperative School, which was founded in 1949, is the only nonsectarian independent elementary school with campuses in Hoboken and Jersey City. Responsibilities
- Work closely with Head Teachers to implement lesson plans and collaborate on all classroom duties, and conduct virtual learning or in person sessions with students.
- Work competently with technology - devices and platforms.
- Organize and maintain detailed schedules and clear communication with the head and associate teachers
- Deliver instruction in small group settings to remote learning students.
- Follow teacher lesson plans and and implement remote learning plans, while adjusting for the needs of the group.
- Assess and maintain written records of individual student development, as requested by the head teacher
- Communicate with colleagues around student issues and needs
- Participate in the life of the school and be responsible for other duties as assigned by the principals and early childhood director.
- Assist in the supervision of children who remain in After school care.
- Interact effectively and sensitively with a diverse population of students and faculty/staff.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited school
- Excellent character
- Experience working with children
