1st Grade Teacher-Elementary

The Washburn School District is looking for a positive, innovative, and passionate educator to provide direct instruction to 1st grade students beginning in the 2025-26 school year. This position will be a full-time (1.0 FTE)

position at Washburn Elementary School.

Successful candidates will have a passion for working with elementary students as well as excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Successful candidates will also have a strong understanding of

standards-based instruction, differentiation, formative assessments, outdoor learning, and Professional Learning Communities. Additionally, successful candidates will be able to create a warm, engaging, and inclusive

classroom community in which each and every student can learn at high levels.

Applicants must possess the ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the general public. Applicants must also meet applicable federal requirements and be able to carry out responsibilities

in a satisfactory manner as determined by the Superintendent.
