Job Description:
The Destination Imagination (DI) Coordinator is responsible for creating and facilitating all aspects of our district's DI program, which is being relaunched after several inactive years. With no established base, the coordinator will develop the program from the ground up, focusing on recruiting students and coaches, organizing program activities, and ensuring a rewarding experience for all participants.
The Destination Imagination (DI) Coordinator is responsible for creating and facilitating all aspects of our district's DI program, which is being relaunched after several inactive years. With no established base, the coordinator will develop the program from the ground up, focusing on recruiting students and coaches, organizing program activities, and ensuring a rewarding experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and launch the DI program, including all planning, logistics, and structure.
Recruit, train, and support students and volunteer coaches to build and sustain DI teams.
Coordinate program activities, events, and workshops for the seven DI challenge areas.
Serve as the primary point of contact for DI participants, coaches, and parents, providing guidance and resources.
Oversee program communications, promoting DI events and successes within the school district and community.
Manage scheduling, supplies, and budget for all DI-related activities.
Foster an inclusive, positive, and creative environment for all DI participants.
Qualifications
Requirements or Qualifications:
Experience in program coordination, youth mentorship, or education
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to recruit, motivate, and work collaboratively with students, coaches, and volunteers
Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Passion for fostering creativity, teamwork, and innovative thinking in students
