Compensation: Commensurate with Experience
The School District of Glenwood City is seeking a full-time, innovative Elementary Teacher for grades 1-5, depending on final assignments and student needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of childhood development, effective organizational and instructional skills, and a commitment to fostering a student-first approach. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who strives to engage all students and demonstrates a passion for making a positive impact on their academic growth.
Position Overview:
- Experience and knowledge of Wisconsin Academic Standards, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Response to Intervention (RTI), and individualized instruction methods.
- Experience using instructional technologies to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to improve student achievement and provide a high-quality educational experience for all students.
Position Details:
- Anticipated Start Date: August of 2025-2026 School Year
- Location: Glenwood City Elementary School, 850 Maple Street, Glenwood City, WI 54013
- Grade Level Assignment: Grades 1-5 (final assignment based on student needs and staffing)
Preferred Qualifications:
- A child-centered educational philosophy and an ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Experience in using diverse teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Appropriate certification with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (EC-MC and MC-EA) is required.
