Located in rural Waukesha County (Big Bend/Mukwonago/Waterford area), Norris School District is home to an innovative alternative program that "changes lives through the power of learning". Norris Academy embraces an innovative educational service model that utilizes a world-class diagnostic evaluation and a cyclical process to design quality-learning experiences that aide students in meeting academic, employability, citizenship, and wellness competencies. This innovative student-centric learning approach leverages educational, behavioral health and community resources to provide an integrated service that builds learner agency (ownership) and self-efficacy (worth).
The Executive Assistant provides confidential secretarial and administrative support services to the Executive Director (District Administrator), administrative team, and the Board of Education. The Executive Assistant ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the office including communications, attendance, ordering, and supply management/ordering. They are also responsible for managing learner enrollment, maintaining student management systems, and preparing reports for the Department of Public Instruction.
The successfull candidate will be an innvative practioner with a growth mindset who is eager to interact with learners and to be a continued part of the continual iteration of Norris School District to reach it's next best place in realizing it'a vision. A passion for working with diverse disadvantaged learners is a must. They must also embrace the ideology of building positive, trusting relationships and trauma informed care.
In seeking the best candidate, a broad range of expereinces will be considered. Strong communication and technology skilled are needed. Our students are currently grades 6 - 12.
At least two years experiences in this or a similar role. Expereince with Student Information Systems are a plus!
