Description
The School District of Fort Atkinson is looking for a seasonal grounds person to help with snow removal. Hours will not exceed 27.5 per week and will vary depending on the weather. Will use plow and snow removal brush to clear and salt district grounds.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- 18 years old with valid driver's license
- Previous Plowing experience preferred
- Flexibility with hours to address snow removal at any time of the day to maintain and district can operate
- Taking good care of equipment and using caution
- Attention to detail while maintaining safety & mindfulness of property and other vehicles and facility/grounds
- Following direction, working within a team, and timely communication/response when coordinating snow removal plan with updates along the way
- Working in cold/harsh environments & in the elements of winter
- Salting experience (using spreaders and truck hoppers) We use Swenson Spreaders
- Familiarity with Western Plows & using both a straight plow & V-Plow
- Skid Steer experience to load salt hoppers
- Mindfulness of overall safety and pace when dealing with blizzard conditions, or working on slick surfaces
- Reporting equipment issues or problems as they arise
- Having the proper attire and protection when working in cold/wet/slick conditions
- Basic knowledge of plow/salter/brush controls both on a pickup truck & sidewalk machines
- Adaptability to learn and cover all areas within the district as needed for snow removal
