Full Time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Administration
- Develop and oversee policies, programs, and procedures to support student success, including special education, mental health, and intervention services.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Team to supervise and evaluate pupil services staff, including school psychologists, counselors, social workers, special education teachers, related service providers, and teacher-aides.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to student services, including IDEA, Section 504, and ADA requirements.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Team, to coordinate the implementation of the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including parents, community members, a
Special Education Oversight
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and delivery of services for students with disabilities.
- Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with legal standards.
- Serve as a liaison between families, schools, and outside agencies to ensure appropriate services and support for students with special needs.
Mental Health and Social-Emotional Support
- Lead initiatives to support student mental health, including the implementation of evidence-based programs and practices.
- Facilitate access to counseling and social-emotional learning (SEL) resources for students and staff.
- Develop partnerships with community organizations to enhance mental health and wellness services.
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff on topics like trauma-informed care, mental health awareness, and inclusive practices.
Program Development and Evaluation
- Develop and monitor the effectiveness of student services programs through data collection and analysis.
- Prepare and manage budgets for student services programs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Lead crisis response efforts and provide guidance for emergency situations involving students.
