The Sauk Prairie School District is seeking five licensed teachers to fill the remaining roles for our summer school program. The program serves students grades 4K-11. The courses are offered to students for full mornings Monday - Friday for six weeks. Please indicate which of the five roles you are interested in teaching in your cover letter.
Reading Interventionist for K-2 - One more potentially needed due to Act 20
Future 2nd Grader Teacher - One teacher needed
We are offering a full-morning, self-contained class for our Grade 1 (Future Second Graders) at Bridges Elementary. You will be assigned a class (much like the school year) that you have with you for the full morning. There is a recess break scheduled each morning. Indicate interest in your cover letter.
Future 4th Grader Teacher - One teacher needed for half of a six-week session for Creativity Students will be assigned to a group which will travel together within a team of three teachers hosted at the Middle School. We are seeing one teacher to take over the Creativity Hour from July 7 to July 25 only. Indicate interest in your cover letter.
Future Middle Schoolers 6 - 8 Teachers - Two needed: 1 for Creativity and 1 for Physical Activity
We are seeking two teachers to complete a team at the middle school level. We create a team of four teachers who will instruct multi-grade student cohorts which rotate through the morning with a mid-morning recess. We will need two different teachers who can support learners as a Creativity and Physical Activity teacher. Indicate interest in your cover letter.
The Sauk Prairie School District includes Sauk City and Prairie du Sac, two “next door” villages known as Sauk Prairie located on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Thirteen towns and the village of Merrimac are also in the district. The area features rolling hills, meadows, bluffs, forests, lakes and streams. The district offers small-town, rural living with easy access to the Madison urban area (25 miles) and to the Wisconsin Dells recreation area (28 miles). The district serves 2,800 students, and consists of six learning communities with a high school of 850 students, middle school of 600 students and four elementary schools of 1,350 students. The Sauk Prairie School District has a highly competitive compensation plan for teaching staff.
