Department : OperationsJob Description : Job Summary : The Dedicated Account Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of a dedicated client account from an on-site location. This role involves handling the account's P&L, ensuring operational performance, and acting as the primary liaison between the client and Stevens Transport. The Dedicated Account Manager will ensure that service levels are met, profitability targets are achieved, and that client expectations are consistently exceededNote : This position is at our client site, Fair Life, in Coopersville, MIKEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Serve as the on-site primary point of contact for the client, managing daily communications and addressing any operational or service-related issues.Manage the account's P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and achieving profitability targets.Monitor account performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and service levels.Coordinate with internal teams (operations, dispatch, customer service) to ensure seamless execution of logistics services and adherence to client-specific requirements.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.Conduct regular business reviews with the client to assess service levels, gather feedback, and explore opportunities for growth.Maintain and update key account documentation, including contracts, service level agreements, and operational guidelines.Oversee incident management, including resolving escalations and managing overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).Ensure compliance with company and client policies, including safety regulations and environmental guidelines.Participate in financial planning activities, including cost analysis, revenue projections, and identifying opportunities to improve account profitability.Provide support in project management, new business implementations, and other initiatives that impact the client account.QUALIFICATIONS : MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.5 years of experience in account management, logistics, or a similar customer-facing role in transportation.Proven track record of managing a P&L and achieving financial targets.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other logistics management softwarePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Experience working with dedicated accounts or on-site customer roles in logistics or transportation.Knowledge of refrigerated or climate-controlled logistics is a plusSKILLS & ABILITIES : Financial ManagementP&L OversightClient Relationship ManagementCritical thinkingRoot cause identificationProcess ImprovementOperational EfficiencyProblem solvingGoal settingKPI monitoringCustomer serviceBusiness solicitationNegotiationRelationship buildingSchedulingProject managementData analysisEffective communicationTeamworkWORK EXPERIENCE : Minimum 5 years in account management or related logistics roles with a focus on customer service and financial management.EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Ability to work on-site at the client location and adapt to a fast-paced environment.May require occasional travel for client meetings or company events.Medical, Vision, Dental, Supplemental, and Life Insurances available 401(k) retirement plan anWorkshift : Education : In compliance with Federal and State equal employment opportunity laws, qualified candidates are considered for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status, non-job-related disability, or any other protected group status.
