Heavy Duty Truck Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in engine rebuilds, particularly with Detroit 60 Series and Cummins X15 engines, as well as the ability to work on trucks with minimal suspension. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering top-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complete engine rebuilds on Detroit 60 Series and Cummins X15 engines.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on heavy-duty trucks.

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on trucks with minimal suspension.

• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and address engine performance issues.

• Follow safety protocols and company standards to ensure a safe working environment.

• Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.

• Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely completion of work orders.

• Be available to work some weekends and overtime as needed to meet workload demands.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in heavy-duty truck repair, with a focus on Detroit 60 Series and Cummins X15 engines.

• Proficiency in engine diagnostics, rebuilds, and maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of suspension systems and related repairs.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• A willingness to work weekends and overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in heavy-duty truck repair or related field.

• Experience with additional truck brands and engine models.

• CDL or willingness to obtain one.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
