Job Summary:

The Website and Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and improving the content, integration, flow, and performance of the company’s currently five (5) websites. This role involves regular updates, content management, and ensuring that the sites/pages effectively tell the story and are fully operational. The ideal candidate will have experience with web content management systems (CMS) and a good understanding of website analytics and SEO practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Management: Regularly audit, update and create website content (e.g., blog posts, news, products, services, images, videos) to ensure all is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.
  • Website Monitoring: Monitor website uptime, performance, and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as broken links, slow loading times, and technical errors.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility in search engine results. Ensure that metadata, tags, and structure are optimized for search engine performance.
  • User Experience: Ensure the website is user-friendly, responsive, and mobile-optimized. Work to improve navigation, design, and content to enhance the user experience.
  • Security Maintenance: Ensure the website’s security by implementing updates, patches, and backups. Monitor the website for vulnerabilities and work to prevent breaches or hacks.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and report on websites traffic and performance using tools like Google Analytics. Provide insights into user behavior and suggest improvements based on data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, and IT teams to align websites updates with company goals and campaigns. Coordinate with third-party vendors or developers as needed.
  • E-commerce: Oversee the management of product offerings available for online purchase..
  • Distributor Content Support: Ensure content for distributors is available for download from the websites.
  • Integration websites: As a result of recent acquisitions and organic growth, the company currently operates five websites. More websites will be added in the future. The plan is to maintain these websites; however, there are opportunities to integrate certain products and services across them. Websites included: www.stevenswater.com; www.dyacon.com; www.soilmoisture.com; www.turfpro.com; www.soilsensor.com.
  • Proactive Trends: Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.

Added Values Responsibilities

  • Newsletter: Create engaging and compelling content for newsletters and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.
  • Integrate with other third-party websites: Enhance the company's brand and product presence on various platforms, including Environmental Xpert and Amazon, for information dissemination and product acquisition.
  • Product Catalog: Assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive educational and product information catalog for the company and distributors.
  • Video Content Development: Assist in the creation of video content and the establishment of internet platform links related to the company's products, services, and educational resources.
  • Tradeshows and marketing material: Incorporate content from the websites to enhance tradeshow presentations and support the development of marketing materials.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress (including plugins)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
  • Experience with SEO techniques and tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and keyword research platforms.
  • Knowledge of AdWords and paid media
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Understanding of website security protocols and practices (SSL, firewalls, regular backups).
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good writing and communication skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multiple departments.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge with website development and a basic understanding of web hosting services.
  • Knowledge working with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce).
  • Certification in digital marketing, SEO, or web development is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Marketing, or related field.
  • Passion for content marketing and a creative approach to content creation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.95 - $25.57 per hour
