The Stevenson School is a PK-12 co-educational, college-preparatory, boarding and day school with an enrollment of 750 students. The Upper Division campus (9-12) is located in Pebble Beach, CA and Lower / Middle Campus (PK-8) is in nearby Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA. Stevenson School seeks a Major Gifts Officer for a spring 2025 start. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Major Gifts Officer (MGO) is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the school's major gift program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to energize and guide team members, connect effectively with donors, and meaningfully communicate the school's mission. This is a full-time, 12-month per year position. Hybrid or remote work structure will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities Include :
- Manage a personal portfolio of 60-80 major donors, with a goal of raising $1.5 million annually by securing major gifts at the $50,000 to $1 million level
- Supervise donor research and identification of new prospects
- Support other advancement staff and school administrators with solicitation efforts (e.g. provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and help with donor communications)
- Collaboration with members of the advancement team in support of the management of relationships with major gift prospects
- Collaboration with the Director of Alumni Relations and Director of Parent Programming to renew and upgrade donors’ commitment to the annual fund
- Participation in other duties as assigned such as support at major events and limited volunteer management

The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 based on experience.
