Position Summary
The Coordinator, Operations, serves as the Career Connection Center (CCC) liaison for external employer relations and communications, graduate data collection, event marketing, and in-office administrative duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : assisting with developing, executing, and evaluating the CCC's employer engagement strategy and annual marketing outreach plan; maintaining the CCC's employer relations in conjunction with the Assistant Director to expand and maintain positive relationships with the business and non-profit communities through dynamic outreach approaches (including email, phone, personal visits and attendance at events); outreach to recent alumni for the CCC's First Destination Survey; managing employer approvals in Handshake; coordinating, promoting and presenting career events in collaboration with CCC staff as well as other key stakeholders; and other administrative duties as assigned. The Coordinator serves as a member of the CCC team and supports CCC and university events and initiatives.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in a communications field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with higher education setting preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to plan and execute career events; experience in communications, marketing and promotions in a university setting; ability to adapt to trends that will attract student engagement.
- Ability to communicate effectively with undergraduate students, working adults, faculty and staff, administrators, parents, as well as external and internal constituencies.
- Excellent interpersonal and cultural competency skills, commitment to modeling inclusive behavior and promoting a culture of belonging, and demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse student, faculty, staff, employers, and others.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to students, employers, and all members of the campus community.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to balance multiple responsibilities, set priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and careful attention to detail.
- Ability to use good judgement and work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced work environment and to perform effectively with fluctuating workload.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Strong technology skills, with an ability to learn new software packages quickly. Knowledge of online recruiting platforms such as Handshake desired.
- Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with employers including timely follow up and follow through.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to attend networking events and employer information sessions.

Physical Requirements
Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Sedentary work. Keyboarding, talking, hearing, repetitive motions. Close visual acuity. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Requires physical abilities consistent with a busy office environment on a university campus. Daily work with computers, monitors, copy machines and other office equipment.
