What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Soccer GK Coach position at Stevenson University?
Role Description
This is a volunteer on-site role for Stevenson Women's Soccer as a Goalkeeper (GK) Coach. The GK Coach will work closely with the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches to develop and implement training programs for four goalkeepers. Day-to-day tasks include conducting goalkeeper specific training sessions, providing feedback and guidance to goalkeepers, and assisting in game day preparations. The role is based in Owings Mills, MD and begins in August 0f 2025. Training is M-F from 7:00-9:00 am with two games a week. The ideal candidate will be able to attend training sessions, home games and welcome to attend away games.
Qualifications
- Experience in coaching goalkeepers
- Strong understanding of goalkeeper training techniques and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Experience playing as a goalkeeper at a competitive level is a plus
