What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitter Positions- Fulltime or Contractor- No Travel Involved- 100% ONSITE 1st and 2nd Shift position at Steward Machine?
The requirements for fitter are:
- Experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of geometry and mathematics
- Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to layout material/parts according to the blueprints
- Ability to operate hand tools such as grinders, drills, saws, etc.
- Proficient in SMAW (stick) welding
- Ability to measure and cut material to specifications using oxy/fuel torch and or handheld plasma torch
