Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at McCrary Rost Clinic. As a licensed professional, you will be responsible for triaging behavioral health patients to determine the appropriate level of care, providing individual counseling, administering psychological testing, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. You will also coordinate referrals to community resources and maintain emotional stability in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment & Triage: Acknowledge and triage all referrals in a timely manner. Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and formulate diagnoses using current DSM criteria.
- Individual & Group Therapy: Provide individual counseling and manage group therapy sessions to achieve therapeutic outcomes. Adjust care plans based on patient progress.
- Psychosocial Testing: Administer psychosocial testing, evaluate results, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate behavioral health care and referrals to appropriate community resources.
- Crisis Management: Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, demonstrating emotional stability in emergency settings.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinic policies and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and ethical practices.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in patient care conferences, offer professional consultation, and engage in peer reviews for continuous improvement.
- Professional Development: Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, share knowledge, and maintain a learning-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
Licensure:
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) from the Iowa Board of Social Work OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) from the Iowa Board of Behavioral Science.
- Must hold a current, valid license in the State of Iowa.
Experience:
- Proven ability to conduct individual and group therapy, with experience in group management.
- Clinical interviewing skills and demonstrated expertise in providing comprehensive assessments.
- Experience in consultation and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to maintain emotional stability in emergency or crisis situations.
Schedule:
4 Days/ week
8:00 am- 5:00 pm, plus additional time as necessary to complete medical records and perform administrative tasks
