FULLTIME POSITION
- 40 hours/ week
- Monday – Friday
- Hours may vary based on department needs
- Call during the week, call every 3rd weekend and rotating Holidays
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an OR nurse, you will provide the nursing care our patients receive before, during and after surgery. Our patients will count on you to communicate and advocate on behalf of their physical and emotional well-being to their family, other staff and physicians. Our patients are diverse in their needs and you will see patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric populations.
Other responsibilities include:
- Assist physician with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient, emergency medical and trauma patient care.
- Direct or perform the functions and activities in the ambulatory surgery area, operating room, and recovery room following evidence-based policies, procedures and standards.
- RN that possess a positive attitude, passion for rural healthcare, and a commitment to "community" to join our healthcare team
- 3 room surgical suite with specialties in General, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Cataract and Podiatry
- Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure
- Assist in the pain clinic by providing care and support to patients under the direction of the provider.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse License
- Current ACLS and PALS certification or eligible to obtain
- OR experience preferred
- Epic experience preferred

Qualifications
30-32hrs per week
Typical hours 6:30am to 3pm Monday/Tuesday/Thursday. Remaining hours divided between Wednesday & Friday depending on weekly surgery schedule.
Call: 1 day per week, every 3rd weekend with ability to take PRN call as needed, 1 holiday a year
