Our legal department is seeking a Claims Adjuster / Risk Management Specialist with a successful track record in claims resolution and experience in mid to high level claims, with the ability to work with attorneys and claims representatives for an acceptable outcome. This position is based at our corporate office in Ballston Spa, NY.
Responsibilities:
Adjustment of general liability claims.
Claims settlement negotiation.
Analysis of insurance policy coverage.
Review of medical records and Medicare reporting.
Preferred risk management experience:
Preparation of Loss Runs.
Deposition and Trials attendance.
Certificate of Insurance approval and retention.
Auto and property claims.
Bonding.
Requirements:
5 years of work experience in risk management or related field.
Experience with web-based claims software.
Expertise in Microsoft Office programs.
Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must be organized, self-motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced office setting.
High attention to detail, critical thinking skills and ability to exercise good judgement when handling sensitive information.
Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Starting Pay: $60,000-$80,000/year.
