Overview The Production planner core responsibility is creating the production schedule and ensuring the optimization of equipment utilization, as well as on-time fulfilment of customer demand.
This role works closely with production leaders, sales, and project management to prioritize work orders and customer requirements.
Communicates schedules and schedule changes effectively. Responsibilities
- Build and update production schedules to ensure continuous plant operations and prevent production downtime.
Communicate production schedules out to the production based on demand from ASCP.
Where root cause is cross-functional, collaborate with others on solutions.
Update production on the status of any shortages.
High level for Excel required. Certificates & Licenses Current active Association for Operations Management (APICS) Certification and membership preferred. Other Requirements : Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Will consider direct job-related experience in lieu of degree.
Previous experience working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system required, preferably SAP or Oracle.
A minimum of two years’ experience in the Industrial Equipment sales process to include planning and / or scheduling experience is required.
Experience in production planning in a heavy equipment environment preferred.
Prior Material Requirement Planning (MRP) experience required.
