Practice Leader – Transportation Design
Stewart is looking for an experienced Practice Leader, Transportation Design. This role is responsible for overseeing the practice’s strategic direction and delivery of high-quality transportation solutions for a wide range of clients, including municipalities, state departments of transportation and private developers.
Essential Functions :
- Support both the transportation practice area and company goals and objectives through strategic planning, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making.
- Oversee financial performance of the transportation practice area,
- Set profitability goal for the transportation practice area, as well as individual teams; track actual profitability against set goals.
- Build high performing teams within the transportation practice.
- Maintain local community and industry connections by acting as the spokesperson and advocate within the firm and in the industry.
- Direct and coordinate activities for business development and client relations within the transportation practice.

Employee will be required to travel from time to time to other office locations, to support client meetings and to attend business development and professional development activities. Most travel will be local to the state or southeast region of the US and may occasionally require an overnight stay.
