What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kerry Hall Operations Mgr position at STG?
The Kerry Hall Operations Manager will assist the Community Arts Center with all aspects of Front of House/ Venue/Facility Operations. Including, but not limited to: Support Schedule and Advance for Partners & Performances / Security / Hospitality Advance & Execution, Front of House Run-of-Show Operations, Developing & Implementing Facility Policies & Procedures. This position earns between $70,000 and $105,100 annually plus medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, and STD insurance as well as a 403b with discretionary match. This is a full-time position.
This role will be located primarily at the STG’s Kerry Hall but may also support programs in other locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage & assist with all aspects Front of House Operations for STG’s Kerry Hall.
- Supervise Front Desk Coordinator(s), ensuring hospitality and security standards are met.
- See to all operational aspects of program needs and be in direct contact with partners/ECE Team to produce events.
- Collaborating with ECE Team on creation and rollout of Facility Policies & Procedures, including Emergency Procedures
- Manage vendor communication and relationships for facility management.
- Establish and maintain facility and safety/security walkthrough checklist and process. Convene Facility and Safety meetings on a regular established basis.
- Act as primary liaison with Maintenance, Janitorial, House and Operations functions
- Responsible for supervising all night-of-show Front of House Operations. Including but not limited to: Patron Ingress/Egress, Security, Seating & Ticketing.
- Create a safe, clean, efficient & respectful work environment while exceeding partner expectations.
- Work closely with all members of the Education and Community Engagement team to efficiently schedule use of the facility.
- Communicate and follow up facility and program information and needs to all STG departments about safety, maintenance, and facility operations.
- Able to perpetuate and maintain a positive environment of equity and inclusion, in line with STG’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Access (DEIA) goals.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed with flexibility to take on new roles or responsibilities as STG evolves.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort and ease interacting with partners/vendors in person, as well as over the phone & by email.
- Knowledge of Front & Back of House Theatre Operations, Procedures & Nomenclature.
- Computer literate and comfort in both Excel & Word environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently without supervision.
- Must possess a positive and “Can Do” attitude.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory position at comparable facilities/performing arts venue(s).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Vision or corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively perform all aspects of job requirements.
- Standing/Walking/Lifting/Sitting – about 25% of the time is spent seated at a desk.
- Ability & willingness to work 15 hour days & lift in excess of 20-lbs at a time.
Salary : $70,000 - $105,100
