ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Work in team environment with calf care staff to meet livability rates, growth rates with strict adherence to cleaning protocols as established by The Ohio Heifer Center.
Maintain daily supervision of baby calf residents, cleaning cribs daily and restocking supplies as required by our animal welfare policy.
Maintain supply of fresh water & grain for residents as defined by our animal welfare policy.
Learn and be certified in basic equipment operations for equipment available in the working area.
Maintain accurate records in Farm Fit and documentation of feedings as determined by barn supervisor.
Assist calf feeders during milk feeding times as time permits.
Clean everywhere, even if you don’t think you need to.
Work with research staff for genetic tissue samples and other material collection requests.
Maintain Inventory and communicate necessary supplies for department to office staff.
All other Duties as assigned
