Preference will be given to individuals with relevant veterinary experience
Position Description
This position is ideal for an individual looking for full-time employment,
which includes 40 hours with rotating weekends. The perspective employee would be organized, self-directed, eager to learn, and has an interest in large animal medicine. Previous large animal and/or clinic experience is preferred but not required.
Job Duties
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing care for cattle, with a focus on calves and heifers, and
communicating health and condition
- Performing daily tasks such as administering treatments and
assisting with minor procedures and animal husbandry
- Assist with routine testing, preparing surgical instruments, and
understanding sterile procedures
- Assisting with barn chores, management of facilities, and maintaining
equipment
Education/Qualifications:
Preferred associate's degree in veterinary science or related field
- Committed interest in large animal medicine
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Must be able to consistently lift 50 pounds
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and thrive on new programs
