Credentialing Specialist FT

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for overall coordination of the credentialing application and verification process and support the function of the Medical Staff Department services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Able to take minutes.
2. Demonstrates computer literacy; knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, etc.
3. Good organizational and communication skills.
4. High energy necessary, must be able to handle multi-tasks.
5. Must be able and have transportation between facilities
6. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

1.       High School diploma, GED required, Higher Education preferred.

2.       Minimum experience of six (6) years as executive/legal and three (3) years in a Medical Staff Office in a hospital setting. Bachelors Degree or higher will be accepted in lieu of six (6) years executive and one (1) year of Medical Staff Office experience.

3.      Medical Terminology, desired

4.      (CPCS) Certification Provider Credentialing Specialist Certification desired.
