What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant ROC FT position at STHS-ROC?
Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as backup to maintain Contracts database for South Texas Region and is responsible for uploading appropriate documentation to Enterprise Contracts Management (ECM). Assists with reconciling Ambulance vendors and AP Invoices as necessary. Generates collection letters for delinquent sign-on bonuses, maintains property tax listings and related County appraisals, participates in annual 1099 process for physicians and other vendors. Responsible for updating GL downloads required for review purposes during month-end close and participates in analysis for region facilities as necessary. Prepares Powerpoint presentations with analysis as required . Assists various facilities with processing check requests for medical payments.
The Accounting Assistant will make sure that all contracts are in compliance with STHS policies and they are properly routed for approval. Will secure all contracts in database and in the accounting files. Will assist Regional Accounting Director with any projects as necessary.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Three or more years of experience in an accounting position.
2. Demonstrate good phone etiquette and customer service skills.
3. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
4. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
Associates Degree in Accounting required.
Accounting I and Accounting II courses taken at a college level preferred.
