Machinist, Manaul / CNC Operator

We are hiring two CNC Operator/Manual Machinists to support STI-CO’s manufacturing operation. FIRST SHIFT!!!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Part replenishment/manufacturing (REQUIRED SKILLS)

· Sets up and operates all machinery according to specifications and tolerances of drawings.

· Replenishes job orders to conform to scheduled dates and demand rate.

· Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and
tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

· Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.

· Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, turret lathes and second operation automatic turret lathes.

· Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as rpm, feed rates, coolant flow, depth of cut and angles.

· Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.

Machine maintenance and jig & fixture design. (PREFERRED SKILLS)

· Assists in installing machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.

· Builds, repairs, and maintains various tooling and fixtures for the machine shop and assembly

· Prepares drawings and (or) sketches for various tooling and jig & fixture design

· May perform other job duties as required.

EDUCATION: Associate degree preferred

EXPERIENCE: 3 years in a similar role. MUST have experience working with the following: Bench work, Band saw, Drill press, Manual Engine Lathe, Hardinge DSM-59 Turret lathe, Manual Milling machine and CNC operator level is preferred

PAY RANGE: Potential salary range for this role is $22 - $32 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
