We have an opportunity for you to use your design skills in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to improve the way healthcare is delivered, as well as extend access to quality healthcare for Veterans nationwide.
Role Overview:
You will combine your expertise in data visualization, deck design, and human-centered design thinking to support to effectively communicate complex information to executive leadership. In this role, you will execute visual communications projects and help deliver on these time-sensitive reports and briefings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative research to derive insights and inform design decisions.
- Apply human-centered design and design thinking methodologies in project workflows.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagements to gather input for pilot designs and research activities.
- Analyze user data using statistical methods and tools like SAS.
- Present findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience
- Ability to conduct qualitative research and derive insights from data
- Experience with statistical methodologies for user research
- Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles
- Ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and team members, to gather information for pilot design and selection
- Effective communication skills to convey research findings and insights
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., SAS)
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytic thinking to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Flexibility to incorporate feedback and iterate on designs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Possession of excellent verbal and written skills, including communicating presentations to internal and external professionals at all levels
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, education, and skills relevant to the role.
