Our drivers help us safety transport and deliver building materials to designated job sites in order to meet the needs of our customers in an efficient and timely manner.Position : CDL DriverThe CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating a tractor with 43ft trailer that may or may not be equipped with a Moffett lift and or operating other commercial vehicles of greater or lesser size in order to transport and deliver building materials to designated job sites. This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company standards for efficient and accurate deliveries.Daily Responsibilities :
- Operate a tractor with 43ft trailer in order to transport building materials to assigned job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues to the Logistics Manager.
- Drive safely and efficiently, maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Load, secure, and unload materials at job sites, ensuring accurate deliveries as listed on the trip ticket.
- May utilize the Moffett lift to transport materials from the truck to designated locations on-site.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, HOS regulations and company safety policies, including E-Log Systems.
- Verify material accuracy upon delivery and document any discrepancies.
- Communicate with the Logistics Manager regarding delivery status, site issues, or vehicle concerns.
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, logs, and reports as required.
- Assist in loading trucks at the warehouse as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including PPE requirements and ergonomic best practices.
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Our Ideal Candidate :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and experience with CRM software.
- Experience in logistics, trucking, or warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of DOT safety, HOS, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective time management and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
- Awareness of ergonomic principles and ability to adhere to safety standards.
- Strong ability to operate and troubleshoot tablets, smartphones, and other digital tools for daily tasks, including data entry, scheduling, and reporting.Requirements :
- Ability to lift 100 lbs. repetitively.
- Employment eligibility.
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with an approved driving record.
- Valid DOT Medical Card in compliance with federal regulations.
