Job Description
The Director of Data Strategy and Analytics will lead our data initiatives, overseeing the development and implementation of data strategies to ensure data integrity and drive business decisions. This strategic role combines technical expertise with business acumen to transform our legacy systems into a modern, scalable architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of AWS-based data lakes, ensuring scalability, security, and support for large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Lead data transformation processes from MS SQL servers to the AWS data lake.
- Design and optimize ETL pipelines to process data from batch feeds and streaming sources.
- Curate data processes from raw data sources to structured data solutions.
- Develop and enforce a comprehensive data governance framework ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc.).
- Spearhead best practices for data quality, lineage, and metadata management.
- Implement DataOps/DevOps practices and tools to automate data workflows and improve data delivery cycles.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and provide data-driven insights.
- Drive the adoption of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Leverage Advanced AI and machine learning techniques to enhance data analysis and decision-making processes.
- Manage and mentor a team of data professionals.
