Overview
Stiggs Food Truck Team is an all ensompassing position relative to the operations of the Stiggs BBQ Wagon in Petoskey and/or BBQ Shack in Charlevoix. The ideal candidate has relative restaurant experience and is capable of basic food assembly and customer service.
Join our dynamic team as a Food Truck Staff member, where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences on the go. As part of our food truck operation, you will engage with customers, assist in food preparation, and ensure that our service runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for food and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently.
- Assist in food preparation and handling, ensuring all safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, including bussing tables and cleaning serving areas.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Handle cash and perform basic math calculations for transactions.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure quality service.
- Maintain accurate product inventory
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, particularly in a café or quick-service fast food restaurant setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for culinary arts is a plus, as well as any experience in upselling or promoting menu items.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
