Job Summary:
This position is responsible for performing the full range of machinist duties in a safe and effective working condition and providing the highest level of safety. Performs work associated with the installation, calibration, and operation of different kinds of cannabis production machines. Takes initiative to perform a variety of skilled, inventory, shop parts, equipment, facilities, machinery, and special purpose tools associated with the Action Pac machine and or other automated machines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision or direction, performs a wide variety of skilled duties including maintenance, repair, and servicing of mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Tests and inspects machines to determine safe and efficient operation, performs routine maintenance and fixes standard malfunctions.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
- Checks that items produced pass quality control test.
- Sets up, operates, and maintains machine shop equipment.
- Assist with daily inventory and organizational tasks.
- Keeps track of daily production numbers, verifying order accuracy.
- Able to troubleshoot and be flexible to jump between tasks based on order demands.
- Responsible for preparing the product for manufacturing and distribution.
- Inspects product for defects and verifies correct counts.
- Responsible for in-process checks and inventory adjustments.
- Interprets production schedule and ensures proper materials are in inventory and ready for use.
- Ensure and maintain appropriate packaging inventory for products.
- Assists other employees in accomplishing company goals.
- Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
- Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
- Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by manager.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 to 2 years of experience.
Requirements:
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
- Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles within the department as required.
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
- Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to operate Forklift and pallet jacks.
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool.
- Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
