Yes, this is a sales role … but a sales role like no other. At Stile, sales are about authentic relationships, talking about evidence-based pedagogy, and showing teachers how to best use Stile with their students. From there, the product will do the selling for you.
Key Responsibilities
Lead generation & relationship building : Develop and build relationships with district leaders, school administrators, and teachers across the state to generate leads and drive sales.
Presentations & demonstrations : Lead product demonstrations and presentations to adoption committees and school teams, showcasing how Stile’s curriculum supports effective and engaging science teaching.
Teaching : Spend time in the classroom modeling best practices for teaching with Stile, helping educators visualize how to integrate our platform into their lesson plans.
Consultation & support : Work closely with teachers to provide ongoing support, ensuring they feel confident using Stile in their classrooms and helping them navigate challenges.
Collaboration : Support and work with the rest of the Stile team, particularly those in NC, to ensure we all hit our goals.
Travel : Travel around the USA to meet with district leaders, schools, and teachers, as well as attend conferences and events related to science education. You’ll likely be on the road ~50% of the time.
Qualifications
School experience : You’ll have at least a few years of experience in the classroom, with a preference for candidates with a science teaching background. Bonus points if you’ve been an administrator or worked closely with administration.
Relationship-building skills : Experience building and maintaining relationships with educators and district leaders. Previous experience with a side hustle or sales role is a plus.
Communication & presentation : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and teach in both formal and informal settings.
Adaptability & creativity : Ability to adapt to diverse educational environments and creatively develop strategies to connect with district leaders and teachers around the state.
Tech-savvy : Comfortable using technology and digital platforms to teach, engage, and communicate with educators and students.
Self-motivated & goal-oriented : Strong work ethic, hustle, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, collaborative attitude.

Hours and location
This full-time, permanent role is based in Portland, Oregon. While work hours are flexible, the schedule generally aligns with a typical 9-to-5 day. Some meetings with schools occur before or after school hours and there are occasional weekend conferences.
The position involves flying and / or driving to schools and districts across the US. You’ll need a valid driver’s license. When traveling for work, all transportation and accommodations will be arranged and covered.
