This position is responsible for performing general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
- Budget: Participate in creating and developing an annual budget of $50,000,000, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Month-End Close: Act as the point person for month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Data Analysis: Provide data-driven results and insights to support financial planning and operational efficiency.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports for internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with bond debt covenants.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data and assist in strategic planning.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and be the change agent for implementing best practices.
Candidates must have strong working knowledge of financial software systems including proficiency Microsoft Excel. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience is essential to successfully meet job function requirements. Still Hopes is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Experience in not-for-profit accounting preferred. In addition, a minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience is required. Knowledge of UKG HR and/or Payroll a plus. Driver’s license required with verified three (3) year safe driving record.
