Caregiver (Part-time) 2nd shift, 3rd shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Open shifts:

Part time afternoon shift. 2p-10p, rotating weekends.

Part time overnights, 10pm-6am, rotating weekends. *Premium pay for overnight shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

· Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals. Allows and encourages residents to do as much as their own care as possible

· Provide companionship and emotional support to residents

· Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents

· Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation

· Adhere to HIPAA regulations and respect resident rights

· Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents

· Assists residents with medication as defined in medication procedure. Supervise residents who self-administer medication

· Maintains a clean safe and orderly environment for the residents. Performs general housekeeping following cleaning schedules for bedrooms dining area, living space, bathrooms

· Change bed linens, wash and cleans resident living space

· Responds promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including telephone calls and request from family and friends

· Follows proper procedures in emergency situations.

· Knows location of each resident, this includes reminding him/her and the families to sign out when they leave the building. Notifies the manager and administrator immediately if unable to locate a resident.

Skills:

· Experience in senior care, hospice care, or long-term care settings

· Familiarity with Assisted Living systems and procedures

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills. (English speaking required)

· Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

· Maintains a safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits

· Maintains neat appearance, good personal hygiene and appropriate attire

Requirements:

· Must have all CBRF Certifications

· Standard precautions

· Fire Safety

· First Aid and Choking

· Medication Administration

· Participates in in-service training sessions

· Maintains continuing education credits

Experience:

· Minimum 2 years of Caregiving preferred
