Unlicensed Mental Health Clinician (Telehealth)

About us:

Still Waters Counseling Services, LLC is owned and operated by a licensed marriage and family therapist interested in expanding and diversifying our services. We currently provide virtual trauma-informed therapy, respecting diversity and cultural humility. Our philosophy and approach towards treatment is person-centered, with the belief that each person has all the answers, and the ability to solve their problems within themselves. We hold the belief that there must be a balance of body, mind, and soul healing for total wellness.

We offer a hybrid model for the therapist where you will have the opportunity to work both virtually and in-person. We are looking for another like minded professional therapist to join the team.

About you:

The perfect candidate would be available to start with part time, and be able to grow to full time within three months. The ability to appreciate our philosophy and values is necessary for a successful relationship; however, alternate therapeutic modalities are welcomed and encouraged. An interest in individual counseling services would be ideal. We pride ourselves in being a collaborative problem solving team and would love another team member that is open to the ideas and help of other team players. We are looking for someone who strives to be inclusive, diverse and culturally humble.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in professional counseling, clinical social work, behavioral science, or marriage and family.

• Demonstrate the competency necessary to communicate effectively; understand mental health assessment, treatment and service terminology and apply these concepts; provide psychosocial skills development; implement interventions as assigned on an individual plan of care; and provide behavior management and case management duties.

• Education and experience demonstrate the competency to identify precipitating events; gather histories of mental and physical disabilities, alcohol and drug use, past mental health services and criminal justice contacts; assess family, social and work relationships; conduct a mental status examination; document a DSM-5 diagnosis; write an individual plan of care; conduct a mental health assessment and provide individual, family or group therapy within the scope of their training.

• Demonstrate the ability to operate and facilitate the following computer software programs: Google Drive/Docs/Sheets/Slides/Forms, Zoom, Gmail, and Slack.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to become licensed within 3 years.

• Ability to become CADC1 certified within two years.

• Special interest in individual modalities such as: EFT, CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative, Strength-Based, Somatic, EMDR, etc.

• Integration of art and music encouraged
