Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, Registered Nurse (RN) to join our counseling practice- who is seeking a flexible schedule. The nurse will be responsible for completing comprehensive nursing assessments for clients, supporting the psychiatric team in delivering high-quality mental health care. The ideal candidate will work at least 10 hours per week and will complete nursing assessments for our clients in Augusta, GA and Macon, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing nursing assessments for clients, including vital signs, medical history, medication reconciliation, and mental health screening.
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers, therapists, and case managers to ensure coordinated client care.
- Monitor clients for changes in physical or mental health status and report findings to the appropriate team members.
- Document assessments accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide client education regarding medications, treatment plans, and general health and wellness as appropriate.
- Assist with medication administration or coordination as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, and agency guidelines in all client interactions.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Experience in mental health or psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Excellent assessment, clinical documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule (minimum 10 hours per week).
Schedule:
- Flexible part-time hours (minimum of 10 hours/week)
- May include in-office and/or community-based assessments depending on client needs
Pay:
- Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing assessments patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Offer psycho-education to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations in the electronic health record.
- Participate in any meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies, when needed.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in psychiatric care and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid, registered nurse license in the State of Georgia
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in mental health
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
