Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team as a part-time contractor, providing psychiatric services to our clients in the Macon location. The ideal candidate will work 8-12 hours per week and will serve the communities in Augusta, GA and Macon, GA
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Conduct medication management and prescribe medications as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Offer psychoeducation and medication management information to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations in the electronic health record.
- Participate in any meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies, when needed.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in psychiatric care and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Psychiatry.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia.
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
