ABOUT THE ROLE
The Ag Lending department strives to assist agriculture producers in tailoring Stillman Bank services to their banking needs that are unique to each and every farming operation. As an Ag Banking Representative, you will be responsible for assisting colleagues in the management of our Agriculture portfolio, developing relationships with our customers, conducting farm visits, and general agricultural lending duties as assigned. This is a full-time position located in our Stillman Valley, IL location however, we assist producers at any of our 6 locations and meet producers on the farm regularly.
You will assist in all aspects of Agriculture Lending consisting of but not limited to:
- Processing of loan advances and payments.
- Assist Lenders with Farm Visits and Farm Visit Reports.
- Analysis of financial information and understanding of loan requests.
- Use of financial spreadsheets and software to analyze ratios and generate loan presentations
- Regular communication with agriculture producers regarding their banking needs.
This is an in-office position working 40 hours per week. This position generally works within a typical office environment with moderate noise levels and temperatures, but it also requires the ability to adapt to other environments as may be encountered at a customer’s place of business. This position requires the ability to operate all types of electronic office equipment. Generally a sedentary position, but requires the ability to drive and operate a motor vehicle, with occasional standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, stretching, stooping and manual dexterity using hands and fingers. Requires ability for extensive reading and viewing of paper documents and computer screens. Job duties must be done with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements:Appropriate bachelor’s degree in business, ag, finance or sales. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The right candidate will have knowledge in or have the initiative to learn:
- Knowledge of the Agriculture Industry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management skills, perseverance, and self-motivation
- Knowledge of Farm Service Agency (FSA) programs, as well as other Ag Lending tools
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
ABOUT COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- This is an hourly, non-exempt position with an expected pay range of $23.75 - $32.00 per hour.
