Stillwater Urology Specialists is looking for an LPN to join our team as a "Urodynamic LPN."A "urodynamic LPN" is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in assisting with urodynamic testing, which involves preparing patients, operating urodynamic equipment, collecting data during the procedure, and providing patient education related to bladder function and urinary issues, all under the supervision of a healthcare provider; key responsibilities include patient intake, vital sign monitoring, catheter insertion, data recording, and ensuring proper equipment function during urodynamic studies.We are looking for an LPN that :
- knows how to perform comprehensive Urodynamics, Video Urodynamics & other advanced diagnostic evaluations
- has Urology experience
- has knowledge of lower urinary tract, anorectal anatomy, urodynamic procedures & equipment and function as well as catheterization skills (a major plus!)
- is able to explain the urodynamic procedure to patients
- Can set up the urodynamic machine, calibrating instruments & ensuring proper functionality of catheters, electrodes, & other necessary equipment

- This position is full-time, 40 hours per week
- Clinic hours (Monday through Friday from 8 am - 5 pm).JOB SUMMARY : Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office / clinic setting under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and / or physician. Communicates effectively with physicians and other team members about patient's clinical condition including patient symptoms and diagnostic study results. Consistently meets regulatory requirements and standards for nursing in addition to complying with SMC Physician Practice Management policies and procedures. Provides care and communication that meet the needs of each patient and family.Completes all patient documentation and charges accurately and timely. In some SMC clinics the LPN may be required to coordinate and schedule patient appointments as well as accurately gather and document patient demographic information. Facilitates appropriate communication between back office and front office processes that contribute to successful clinic performance.QUALIFICATIONS :
- License to practice as LPN in the state of Oklahoma.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Previous demonstrated clinical experience in the physician practice setting preferred.
- Understand the ethics of confidentiality and HIPAA regulatory requirements.
- Possess the ability to communicate well with employees, physicians, and general public.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses / contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.
- Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations.
