This position is PRN or AS NEEDED
Responsible for performing x-ray techniques and laboratory tests, maintaining all required documentation for regulatory agencies, and maintaining all supplies and equipment in proper working order. Performs other functions as re-quested by the Laboratory Manager, supervising Radiology Technologist, or Clinic Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or GED equivalent. (Current AART or Radiology Certification preferred.)

Completion of department orientation and competency.

Excellent verbal, written, and clerical skills.

Excellent customer relation skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology to include synonyms for common tests.

Able to work without direct supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Able to work in latex-burdened environment.
-
Ability to speak clearly and distinctly with staff, physicians, patients, and fellow employees.

Coordination and motor skills required for obtaining blood specimens from patients following OSHA guidelines.
-
Motor skills must allow safe handling of blood borne pathogens and other biohazardous body fluids according to OSHA guidelines.

Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects to include small technical equipment is required.

Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.

Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.
