The Beyond Birth Associate primary role is performing tissue solution pours, compiling, and completing charts, and stocking supplies. Other responsibilities to support acquisition of donor tissue included not limited to are listed below in essential duties. Commuting as needed to support the team. i.e.: picking up tissue, delivering supplies. Travel requirements consist of reliable transportation to hospital partners and StimLabs’ corporate office located in Roswell, Georgia. Duties include the accurate completion of donation paperwork for all elements of the donor chart some of which are: informed consent, risk assessment interview, birth tissue acquisition form, physical exam, plasma dilution, medical records, logs, serology/culture requisition and results, and shipping documents.

- Provides key Beyond Birth program support to Hospitals and the StimLabs organization
- Performing solution pours
- Supports daily activities for tissue acquisition
- Preparing paperwork for donor acquisition
- Supports inventory management for birth tissue donation kits
- Transporting tissue from the field as needed
- Creating, maintaining, requesting, and reviewing records
- Clerical tasks in record keeping, data entry, chart management and document archival
- Sending, sorting, and receiving faxes and emails
- Assists with projects as designated by Beyond Birth Management
- Conducts all activities and documentation related to Beyond Birth to comply with internal policies and procedures and external tissue AATB Standards and FDA Regulations
- Contributes to the development and fosters positive relationships with medical partners, hospitals, and StimLabs employees
- Suggests and implements improvements within the Beyond Birth (BB) program, Quality System, and department
- Acquire additional donor information or clarification as requested by Medical Director
- Applying aseptic technique for donor storage
- Assist with training of new employees as well as hospital personnel
- Assists and collaborates on development of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, sampling plans, and specifications
- Assists with investigations and documentation of CAPAs, Deviations, Nonconformance Reports, and Complaints, as directed by Beyond Birth Management
- Collaborates with Donor Services to complete investigations and documentation
- Coordinate responses and resolutions to issues with appropriate internal and external parties
- Coordinate with hospital and physician group staff to ensure completion of donor records
- Deliver and receive tissue at StimLabs processing facility
- Ensure donor records are timely, accurate and within compliance with StimLabs, FDA and AATB policies, procedures, and guidance
- Maintain and promote positive and professional working relationships with associates and management
- Package donated tissue and specimens in accordance with standards for delivery to the proper facility
- Perform related duties as assigned by management
- Prepare and submit serology requisition and ship vials to laboratory partner
- Provide education about donation, get informed consent to donate, and conduct risk assessment interviews
- Requests medical records and follow-up information via fax, email, or phone and retrieves urgent information from OB/GYN offices as needed or requested to facilitate donor chart reviews
- Review current procedures and identify opportunities for increased efficiency
- Review donor records for pre-eligibility determination and donation eligibility
- Team and individual prioritization of duties and tasks as necessary to ensure assignments are completed in a timely manner
- Experience with Excel and Microsoft Teams preferred
- Relevant lab experience preferred
Salary : $18 - $20
