Garden Center Merchandiser
We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a desire to learn, who wants to hit the ground running and loves to work outside.
Merchandiser needed for part-time hours to work in a local big-box location to care for line of trees and various plant material. This is a great opportunity to work in a fun outdoor environment with very flexible scheduling.
Summary of duties
- Assist out retail partners in maximizing their sales of plants by focusing on Garden Center
merchandising, signing, proper plant care and watering.
- Converse with customers as they request assistance and/or have questions.
- Ensure maintenance of corporate display standards.
- Maintain positive communications with store management.
- Set up, restock, and take down marketing displays - reorganizing as needed and refilling displays as shipments arrive.
- Send daily photos and weekly updates of what’s going on in stores.
- Keep a clean work area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience/interest in merchandising, retail/sales, customer service, horticulture, landscaping is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.. and 20 lbs. over your head throughout the day.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and self-sufficiently in a customer service oriented environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication & organizational skills.
- Able to work both independently and with others.
- Complete and pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation & valid driver's license.

Terms of Employment
- Approximately March Through December
Compensation
- $15.00 per hour
- Approximately 10-20 hours per week, depending on month and sales.
