What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier - FT position at Stine?
Job Summary:
The Cashier interacts with the customer by greeting and assisting them at the point of sale and once the transaction is complete then thanking them for their business. Answering the phone and acting as operators to connect parties is sometimes required. This is a highly visible position and it is most important that the individual is always personable, friendly, and courteous. It requires interacting well with customers, salespeople, office manager, and all other employees. Good memorization skills are needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Basic education that includes the ability to competently read and write.
Training and Experience: No training or experience is required, but cashier experience (typing, and keypunch skills) is preferred.
Job Knowledge: Must be able to count back change accurately. Cashiering skills and building industry knowledge are preferred.
Physical Demands: Work requires little physical effort, and involves standing, walking, and some light lifting regularly. Works mostly in an air-conditioned environment.
