Job Summary:
The Director of IT is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions company-wide. This includes leading a team of IT professionals who provide IT support throughout all facets of the organization. The IT director oversees all IT projects and ensures that all information systems are used efficiently and securely. This person implements IT initiatives that improve the effectiveness of the company's products or services. They also prepare departmental budgets as well as evaluate new equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer systems management, or related field
Training and Experience: Minimum of three years experience in IT field and managerial role
Job Knowledge: Must be technically advanced, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills
Physical Demands: Work requires little physical effort, and involves sitting, standing, walking, and some light lifting on a regular basis. Works in an air-conditioned environment.
