What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator/Welder position at Stingray Manufacturing Llc?
Fabricate High Quality StingRay Parts Washers:
· Weld mostly on mild carbon (80%) & stainless (20%) steel, 18 ga to ½ inch sheet metal
· Demonstrate GMAW & FCAW skill in all positions, including vertical uphill
· Produce continuous, uniform, well-rooted, water-proof, consistently high-quality joints
· Use PULSE welders with alternating high/low current for higher quality & faster travel speed
· Read weld symbols & interpret engineering blueprints/sketches/drawings/verbal instructions
· Develop finished product from these complex plans to complete large projects
· Apply mathematics (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions) to measure materials
· Anticipate the “cause and effect” of each action during fabrication
· Assemble parts washers with accurate angles, dimensions, & tolerances
· Install various sub-assemblies, weldments, & purchased parts
· Test weld quality for water-tightness
· Grind spatter & other clean-up after yourself tasks
· Accept direction and learn under company mentors
· Other duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
Manufacturing Qualifications:
· Formally trained (trade school) &/or experienced in MIG flux core, short circuit, pulse, TIG
· Relevant fabrication shop experience, preferably building custom industrial machines
· Strong mechanical aptitude and own hand tools to perform fabrication tasks
· Ability to read weld symbols, interpret drawings, & “see” the completed product before starting
· Use saw, shear, drill, mill, lathe, punch, iron-worker, torch, 280T press brake, plasma cutting table
· Very organized & efficient in getting the assigned tasks completed
· Energetic, ambitious, optimistic, hard-working, with good work ethics
· Good communication skills, team player, mutual respect for coworkers
· Positive attitude of learning, able to handle fluid production goals
· Show up to work every day and clock-in on time
· Occasional overtime required when necessary
· Wear steel toes and other PPE
· High School Graduate or GED
