The Groundskeeper plays a key role in maintaining the smooth operations of company-owned assets, ensuring all facilities are in top shape. From Keeping the property polished, fixing up any issues as they arise, to performing minor repairs, an attention to detail helps create a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff. This role is a seasonal position, offering up to 5 months of employment (may vary based on location needs).

What You'll Do

• Roll up your sleeves and dive into the (wildly busy) summer season, offering extra support to keep our Stinker Store teams sane and ensure smooth operations!
• Clean fuel and oil spills, change liners, and empty trash from all outdoor cans, including those at fuel islands and parking areas, ensuring everything stays spick and span.
• Make sure everything receives the TLC it deserves by maintaining the car and diesel islands by replacing windshield washer fluid, replenishing towels, and keeping dispensers wiped down.
• Polish up the property by checking pole lights, signage, and providing necessary supply lists, while handling monthly tasks like pressure washing fuel islands and replacing air filters- "keeping it fresh" in every sense!
• Keep entryways, walkways, and pathways tidy, free from debris, weeds, and snow, ensuring safe and smooth travels year-round.
• Make sure everything is moving in the right direction by performing deep cleaning of dispensers, maintain outside windows, and handle minor repairs like replacing burnt-out lights and cleaning refrigeration coils.
Respond to snow and rain events by plowing, shoveling, and pumping water from basins
• - so we are ready to weather any storm!

What You'll Need

• Ability to learn new concepts and stay organized, maintaining a high level of attention to detail while multitasking (there are a lot of moving pieces and skunks headed in every direction!).
• Effective time management, because there are a lot of moving pieces and skunks headed in every direction!
• Solution focused thinking- You get 5 minutes to complain, then we kick tail!

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years of age or older (we don't make the rules... or law.).
• Must have reliable transportation in all seasons.
• Experience in landscaping and light maintenance is preferred.
• Able to spring into action on weekends and evenings, when needed, and shift gears quickly.
• A valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• You don't need to be an Olympic athlete, but you do need to be able to balance on a step stool or step ladder, lift up to 80 lbs., and work from floor to eye level.
• Able to work in a cooler at an average temperature of 32 degrees (hey, at least it's not Antarctica).

Employment Duration: (x) - Seasonal employment dependent on location staffing needs and sales, up to 5 months. Opportunity for permanent full or part-time employment may be offered but is not guaranteed.
